The film photography & darkroom work of David Kirby

At Long Last

I mentioned in this post a few months back that the great Tim Rudman was working on his new Iceland book.  Great news everyone - it is now available for pre-order at a discounted price of £45 for a standard edition hardcover or £250 for a deluxe collectors edition.  The book is available for pre-order at http://opasbooks.com/; wherein you can also check out a preview of the mighty tome itself.  23 out of the 98 images in the book are presented to look at and they look absolutely fantastic which is, of course, no less than we would expect from a master printer such as Tim.

I am not normally one for splashing out on photography books when £45 could get me a nice box of paper but this is one which I am definitely getting!  I love books like this because they always give me a good kick up the bum to get back in the darkroom and get to work on further developing my printing skills.

So, if landscape photography is your thing then I would urge you to take some time to look around Tim's site and the Opas books site and, if you feel the need, support Tim in his latest venture.
